CHLORINE AND CAUSTIC SODA ARE COMMON CHEMICALS. PPG'S COMMITMENT IS UNCOMMON. PPG has been producing chlorine and caustic soda for over 40 years. Recently, we brought onstream a new plant at our Lake Charles, Louisiana chemical complex, where we have invested more than $150 million in order to provide an additional 750 tonsper-day of chlorine and 825 tons-per-day of caustic soda. This new plant is the first phase of a two-phase expansion. Phase two will add another 750 tons of chlorine and 825 tons of caustic soda per day. Today, our combined capacity at Lake Charles and our other plants in West Virginia, Ohio, Canada and

Puerto Rico is over 4,100 tonsper-day of chlorine and over 4,500 tons-per-day of caustic soda. PPG has other resources to serve you, too. We have our own salt reserves and a power generation system that meets most of our electrical needs at our three continental United States plants. We maintain 11 strategically located caustic soda bulk terminals, and one of the largest fleets of chlorine tank cars and barges in the United States. And we back up our sales with day-to-day technical services.

PPG is uncommonly committed to chlorine and caustic soda. For more information, contact your local PPG Chemicals sales office, or write PPG Industries, Inc., Chemicals Group, One Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
