Fund for Student Travel A gift of $1500 has been donated to the University of Wisconsin by an emeritus professor, W. H. Peterson. Its purpose: to enable biochemistry students to attend scientific meetings. Principal and income from the grant will provide travel expenses for graduate students, permitting them to present papers at annual meetings of either the

the American Society of Biological Chemists. In providing the money, Peterson requested that no single student receive more than $100 for any one meeting. He also asked that no more than $200 be used for travel to the meetings of either society in any one year. Students to be awarded the travel expenses will be selected each year by a committee appointed by the chairman of the biochemistry department.
