Masterflex® TUBING

PUMPS

4 interchangeable pump heads for each model · pump heads of clear plastic for full visibility · long t u b i n g life · pressures up to 40 psi · pulseless flow • metering accuracy · for liquids or gases · wide range of flow rates • with vinyl, silicone or V i t o n * t u b i n g

SINGLE SPEED

MaSterf/θΧ

Driven by a high torque, gear head motor at 550 R P M . Interchangeable, clear plastic p u m p heads provide four different flow rates.

VARIABLE SPEED

Masterflex Solid state electronic speed control ler for variable flow rate with meter ing accuracy. Choice of four inter changeable p u m p heads provide flow rates from as low as 1.8 ml per minute.

ULTRA VARIABLE SPEED

Masterflex Designed to deliver constant output at any speed regardless of system pressure. Direct-reading speed indi cation with system monitoring facili ties. 7 gearhead ratios and 4 p u m p heads permit selection of speeds from 0.03 to 3000 R P M and outputs from less t h a n 1/100 m l / m i n .

ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY

Model SL-40, a 200-sample auto matic liquid scintillation spectrometer with preprogrammed data reduction capabilities, provides direct on-line readout of the disintegration rates in variably quenched single- or dualisotope samples. Sample activity is computed either through the chan nels ratio method or the external standard ratio method. An alternate operating mode allows variably

quenched carbon-14 and more en ergetic isotopes to be counted at constant efficiency. A 1024-word ferrite core memory stores up to four external standard ratio or chan nels ratio calibration curves plus four constant efficiency values. No programming by the operator is re quired. Intertechnique Instruments Inc., Randolph Industrial Park, Dover, N. J. 406

Gas Chromatograph Model 8000, designed for both indus trial and educational use, operates to 200° C and contains a new higher sen sitivity micro volume thermistor detec tor. New gas sampling and switching valves have been developed as options for the instrument which allow the sam pling and analysis of materials such as natural gas, automobile exhaust, trace contaminants in fixed gases and will also provide the capability for separations at cryogenic temperatures. The entire gas chromatograph is easily portable and needs only power and carrier gas to be placed in operation. Carle In struments, Inc., 1141 E. Ash Ave., Fullerton, Calif. 92631 407 Electronic Analog Computer Model 110 500 analog computer read out, for direct reading spectrometers, automatically and continuously con verts spectrochemical analysis ratio readings into per cent concentration of elements present in a sample being analyzed. Entirely solid state, the computer is useful as an accessory module for use with new or existing op tical emission quantometer systems. Applied Research Laboratories, P. O. Box 129, Sunland, Calif. 91040 408

Nondispersive X-ray spectrometer has a resolution of 425 eV. Simulta neous analyses of multielement sam ples are obtainable at the rate of 60 per minute for applications requiring on-line control. Analyses of elements to less than 100 parts per million is routine. Spectra can be duplicated over a period of many months. The spectrometer is noncritical of sample preparation, ignoring large variations in solid samples and accepting granu lar or liquid samples. It operates from 115 V line and is portable.
