COLLING COILS CLEAN AFTER 2 YEARS SHU Hent Irunsfa ©SB Uteps Alkyd Resin Stills Efficient; E)©3S Mot · Deteriorate under Sewere Conditions^ Long Use Sun Petroleum Products had always given complete satisfaction in a large, well-established paint and varnish plant. So, as a m a t t e r of course, a " J o b Proved" Sun Heat Transfer Oil was specified for new equipment—two 750-gallon alkyd resin stills. Performance of t h e Sun H e a t Transfer Oil has fully justified the confidence, despite tough operating c o n d i t i o n s . Since oil c a n n o t b e d r a i n e d from t h e cooling t u b e s during the cooking process, 15 per
cent of t h e total charge is subjected to temperatures up to 700°F. Oil t e m p e r a t u r e during t h e cooling cycle is about 350°F. After more than two years' con tinuous use, the original oil charge is still serving, even though makeup has been small. T h e cooling tubes stay clean, t h e efficiency of t h e system high. T h e alkyd resins pro duce a finish t h a t does credit t o the fine reputation of this concern. Sun Heat Transfer Oils have high thermal stability. They have nat

ural resistance to sludging, and any insoluble matter t h a t forms under extreme conditions is soft and can be washed out easily. Sun Heat Transfer Oils do n o t form hard carbons to impede t h e rate of heat transfer. Combined, these qualities assure maximum efficiency in heat transfer systems of all types.
