Computer Program of the Group Multiplication Table for the Tetrahedral Point Group A Fortran IV program for on-line use to illustrate the group multiplication table for the 24 operations generated by the E, CR,CZ,S4and ri symmetry elements of the group Td has been prepared. The program consists of three parts. 1) A list of instructions giving the atoms A, 8,D and E bonded to a central atom IC). A graphic illustration of the starting molecule giving the algebraic sign of the x, y, and z coordinates as well as a listing of the 24 operations. 2) An explanation of the abbreviations used for these operations. For example, C3AC2 is a Cs2 rotation of 120° along the AC bond. 3) The multiplication operation is performed on the original model to give a graphic representation of the resulting molecule as well as the unique operation represented by this graphic representation. This program gives an operational familiarity with this aspect of group theory.' Copies of the program are available from the authors (D.T.H.).
