ABSTRACT: Thermal cross-linking is widely used to impart stability or improved mechanical properties to layer-by-layer (LbL) assemblies. However, the kinetics of thermal cross-linking within LbL films is not well understood. Furthermore, because LbL films are generally ultrathin (
