CONSISTENT URETHANE FOAMS BEGIN IN THE POLYOL PLANT Dow polyethers and isocyanate a d d u c t s - n o w trademarked VORANOL and VORANATE respectively —have solved the major problem of consistency for foam producers. The quality of urethane foams starts far back, with the "original" raw materials from which polyglycols are made. It must be held, too, during formulation, which controls the properties you require in foam. Dow makes polyglycols from the ground up.

Because Dow starts with such a wide range of basic chemicals—propylene, for example—Dow is in a unique position for manufacturing polyglycols with countless made-to-order properties. Dow specialists can answer formulating needs for one-shot or prepolymer systems. For rigid foams, Dow offers a single source of supply and formulating help for both the polyglycol or polyether (VORANOL) and TDI adduct (VORANATE).
