2010, Volume 44, Pages 1992–1997 Aaron Thompson,* Carl I. Steefel, Nicolas Perdrial, and Jon Chorover: Contaminant Desorption During Long-Term Leaching of Hydroxide-Weathered Sediments Shortly after publication we noticed two errors in this manuscript. The first error is in Figure 3 on page 1996. Here the filled and unfilled symbols are switched. A corrected version of this figure is presented below. The second error relates to reported inorganic carbon data in Figure S-4 of the Supporting Information, which affected the calculation of mineral saturation states in Table S-2 and Table S-8 (now corrected). Text on page 1995 of the paper should be revised to state that the effluent is oversaturated (not undersaturated) with respect to calcite. All other statements, figures, and tables, as well as our overall conclusions of the manuscript, are not affected by these errors. The appropriate tables and figures in the Supporting Information have been updated to reflect these changes.

FIGURE 3. Model fitting of K+ and Cs+ breakthrough using the 3-site ion exchange model and column-weighted parameter set of Steefel et al (14) modified only by altering the planar CEC site density [[-CO2] ) 5.8 × 10-5 molc g-1, [+CO2] ) 7.5 × 10-5 molc g-1], and K-selectivity [KX3 + Cs+ T K+ + CsX3, modified log K values to 0.879 ([-CO2]) and 0.929 ([+CO2])]. Cs+ loading on the exchange sites was ca. 3 × 10-8 molc g-1 in both treatments. ES101164X 10.1021/es101164x Published on Web 04/26/2010 4384
