11 COUNTER SETTING TIME
The APG 402's collection programmer offers you a virtually un limited range of fractionation possibilities—so you can do a wider range of separations. There are five collection traps and one waste trap. Electronic logic lets you open and close each one at any point on the chromatogram. Opening and closing of each trap is inde pendently adjustable for the same peak—and can be set to any point on the front or back slope. With this flexibility, you can (1) collect up to five individual peaks in the five traps; (2) divide large peaks into fractions; (3) accumulate up to nine peaks as a single fraction; (4) waste up to eight peaks before beginning collection—or combine any or all of these options into a single sequence. And for more flexibility in the compounds you can handle, Coming's APG 402 is the only preparative gas chromatograph that offers an optional glass system.
