Ion Exchange Resins
A new line of ion exchange resins for laboratory and research applications includes a wide range of resins with better characteristics, a choice of mesh sizes and cross-linkage, and better analytical definition. The resins were developed by the Ionac Chemical Co. A folder is available which introduces the "Baker Analyzed" ion exchangers, and various application sheets describe exchange procedures and regeneration techniques. J. T. The American Petroleum Institute announces the availability of 10 new refined grade hydrocarbons. The compounds are available in 1-ml units, sealed in prescored glass ampoules, priced at $40 per unit. The minimum purity of Refined Grade hydrocarbons is 95%, although in most cases the purity is nearer 99%. Previously synthesized API Standards will continue to be available in 5-ml units at $90 per unit. A complete list of over 400 API Reference Standards of hydrocarbons, organic sulfur and organic nitrogen compounds, together with the 84 Refined Grade hydrocarbons, is a\railable on reqviest.
