You buy these flasks for accuracy. So why do we keep muttering about muscle? Everybody who tries to sell you Class A volumetric flasks can sell you accuracy. They have to. N.B.S. Circular 602 says so. But not everybody can sell you muscle at the same time, in the same flask. We can. We do, because the muscle means a PYREX® brand Class A flask will last longer in your lab, give you more value from the Class A accuracy you pay for. We give you the muscle by forming the flask body on automatic machines that hold the glass to a uniform thickness for uniform strength, and then by flame-sealing equally uniform accurate-bore tubing to the body to form the neck. One-piece construction just can't hold glass uniformity as precisely through the long neck of a volumetric flask. So, when you buy accuracy, why not get muscle, too? Both are in the PYREX brand flasks available from your CORNING® labware dealer. For more information on brawn in Class A ware, send to Laboratory Products Dept., Corning Glass Works, 3905 Crystal St., Corning, N.Y.
