Correction to “Factorial Design Based Multivariate Modeling and Optimization of Tunable Bioresponsive Arginine Grafted Poly(cystaminebis(acrylamide)-diaminohexane) Polymeric Matrix Based Nanocarriers” Rongbing Yang, Kihoon Nam, Sung Wan Kim, James Turkson, Ye Zou, Yi Y. Zuo, Rahul V. Haware, and Mahavir B. Chougule* Mol. Pharmaceutics 2017, 14 (1), 252−263. DOI: 10.1021/acs.molpharmaceut.6b00861 corrected as tert-butyl-N-(6-amino-hexyl) carbamate. The structure of N,N′-cystaminebis(acrylamide) was missing one carbon in one side of the −S−S−. The same mistake was carried into the backbone poly(disulfide amine). The structure of the final arginine conjugated polymer was also missing one carbon in part of the arginine grafted branch. A carbon was added at one side of the −S−S− in the structure of N,N′-cystaminebis(acrylamide). The backbone poly(disulfide amine) and final arginine conjugated polymer were also corrected accordingly. The part of the structure designated by square brackets and the subscript “n” in the middle structure was not same; the upper right had two carbons after the CO at the right end, whereas the structure at the top middle had only one carbon after the C O at the right end. This error has been corrected with one carbon after the CO in both the structures. The updated figure is presented below.

In the version of this Perspective originally published, the affiliation for authors Rongbing Yang and Mahavir Chougule was not correct, it should have read: †Translational Drug and Gene Delivery Research (TransDGDR) Laboratory, Department of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery, School of Pharmacy, University of Mississippi, University, Mississippi 38677, United States. Parts of the chemical structures and labels were incorrect in Figure 1. The errors and revision made to fix the errors are summarized below. In Figure 1, the names of the two structures of monomers at the top left are switched: the top one, named as a carbamate, was a bis(acrylamide), and the one below the “+” symbol, named as a bis(acrylamide), was a carbamate. The labeling of these two monomers was corrected in the revised figure. There was a spelling mistake in the word “aminno” of tertbutyl-N-(6-aminno-hexyl)carbamate. This error has been

Figure 1. (I) Synthesis scheme of poly(cystaminebis(acrylamide)-diaminohexane) polymer (ABP), molecular weight about 4500 Da: (a) MeOH/H2O = 9:1, v/v, 60 °C, 5 days, and trifluoroacetic acid/triisobutylsilane/H2O = 95:2.5:2.5, v/v, 0 °C, 30 min. (b) Fmoc protected and −OH functionalized arginine, 2-(1H-benzotriazole-1-yl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate, N,N-diisopropylethylamine in dimethylformamide, room temperature, 2 days, and 15% piperidine/dimethylformamide, room temperature, 30 min, and trifluoroacetic acid/triisopropylsilane/H2O = 95:2.5:2.5, v/v, room temperature, 30 min. (II) Preparation of drug-loaded arginine-grafted biodegradable ABP based matrix nanocarriers: addition of acetone into the aqueous solution of polymer and drug mixture; the aggregation of polymer in the presence of acetone has led to formation of nanocarriers where drug molecules were entrapped; the final nanocarriers were obtained after the evaporation of acetone and removal of unentrapped drug.
