Supporting Information, page S3. In the Synthesis section, fourth sentence, the amounts of the reactants in moles are inconsistent with the given weights. The sentence should begin “A mixture of H3BO3 (24.8 g, 0.4 mol), CaF2 (7.8 g, 0.1 mol) and ethylamine-borontrifluoride (22.6 g, 0.2 mol)...” The three equations at the end of the Synthesis section do not follow the mass conservation. Moreover, the product in the third equation (Ca2B10O7F14) is not related to the content, and the charge did not balance in the formula; it should be Ca2B10O14F6. The corrected equations should read as follow: 6MF2 (M = Ca, Sr) + 2BF3(C2H 7N) + 14B2O3 = 3M 2B10O14 F6 (M = Ca, Sr) + 2(C2H 7N)

2MF2 (M = Ca, Sr) + 4BF3(C2H 7N) + 6H3BO3 = M 2B10O14 F6 (M = Ca, Sr) + 4H 2O + 10HF + 4(C2H 7N) 2Ca(BF4)2 + 6H3BO3 = Ca 2B10O14 F6 + 10HF + 4H 2O
