T

he authors note that the data processing of XPS results was improper in the original manuscript, which have not clearly differentiated the Au(I) and Au(0) in AuNCs@GC. Consequently, some of the text and figures need to be revised. It shall be note that this error does not affect any other of the results or conclusions described in the manuscript. A full list of the corrections is presented as below. For Figure 1E,F of the original manuscript, the corrected XPS results are shown as below.

Figure S4. XPS analysis of AuNCs@GC with different amounts of GC: (A) 0 mg/mL, (B) 0.5 mg/mL, (C) 1.0 mg/mL, (D) 1.5 mg/mL.

Figure 1. (E,F) XPS analysis of AuNCs and AuNCs@GC, respectively.

Moreover, since the XPS peak-differentiating/fitting processes were revised, the corresponding percentage of Au(I) were also changed. On page 3272 of the original manuscript, the value of 78.45% should be changed into 76.13%. The values of 67.37%, 78.45%, and 78.11% shall be corrected as 61.81%, 76.13%, and 72.36%, respectively. For the XPS results in Figure S4 of the Supporting Information, the correct version is listed as below and the corresponding percentages of Au(I) are labeled in each figure.
