he positions of the substituents on thiolated chitosan were not correct, and the endocyclic oxygen of the right-hand pyranose ring was missing (in the Graphical Abstract and Scheme 1). These corrections have been applied accordingly as the positions of all substituents of the pyranose ring have been revised and the missing endocyclic oxygen has been added to both the Graphical Abstract and Scheme 1 (as presented here).
