n our recent publication, we discovered a mistake: In page 4944, right column, first paragraph, the last sentence reads: “This is in full agreement with the above observations because for T1 relaxometry the NV center is more sensitive to magnetic field noise in the transverse direction. Correspondingly, T2 images are more influenced by noise components in the horizontal direction.” In fact, the word “horizontal” in that sentence is wrong and should be corrected to “vertical”. To make the sentence even clearer, we change it to “This is in full agreement with the above observations because for T1 relaxometry the NV center is more sensitive to magnetic field noise in the direction perpendicular to the NV axis. Correspondingly, T2 images are more influenced by noise components in the direction along the NV axis.”
