Every Gra-Lab Universal Timer can be set for any desired time period within an unusually wide range of 3600 possible settings, (ie.—1 sec. to 60 min., 1 min. to 60 hrs., etc.). A t end of preset interval buzzer alarm sounds and external load is automatically switched on or off. Priced at $21.95 to $26.95. ELECTRIC STOP CLOCKS—GRA-LAB Micro Timers wi'tn large 8" dials are available in 7 / 7 0 second or 7 / 7 0 0 0 minute graduations for accurate measurements of elapsed time, in laboratory or production operations. Priced at $37.50.

Accuracy is further guaranteed by precision bore tub ing for the capillaries, line adjustment of the bulb volume and a correctly divided, interchangeable glass scale. Substantial, aluminum base, finished in blue-gray hammertone. Complete assembly can be attached to laboratory framework. (U.S. Pat. No. 2,608,096)

7ί0> introduces N E W THIN-WALL KEARAL SINTERED; ALUMINA

LABORATORY CRUCIBLES that offer unique resistance to REDUCING AGENTS · CONTAMINATION · THERMAL SHOCK PROPERTIES: Purity: 99.5%, + Porosity : 2% or less (by volume) Closed Pores Hardness: 9-Moh's. Scale-equivalent to sapphire Heat Conductivity: 0.017 9 cal/cm/° C/sec Specific Heat: 0.26 cal/oc Specific Resistance: 1015 ohm X cm Melting Point: 2050° C

Almost all metals and their alloys can be melted in these Kearal crucibles without contamination of the melt by the crucible. Made of alumina, one of the most chemically stable materials, by a new process which permits its fabrication in thin sections, it assures high re sistance to thermal shock. Examples of stability: Carbon and hydrocarbons will not reduce the crucible material at temperatures as high as 1700° C. Under the influence of hydrogen, no reaction with the crucible is observed at temperatures close to the melting point of alumina (2050 ° C.).
