Density Meter for Solids We have developed a very simple density meter for determining the density of any solid device, shown a t right can he redesigned far different sizes of solid. The total m a t e ~ a l The . requirement for the meter is a glass tube, suitable for the size of solid being measured, that has a side arm to which has been attached a graduated tube. (The graduated tube could be a piece of a damaged buret or pipet.) The large tube is filled up to the side arm with any liquid that is inert to the solid being tested. Then the weighed solid is slowly put into the tube and the amount of liquid that has flowed into the graduated tube is measured. By applying the standard d = m/u, one gets the density of the solid.
