EDITORIAL Design for a New Year Thanks to the vision of the founding editor, Joe Bunnett, Accounts of Chemical Research appeared on the scene 29 years ago, with an innovative and personal tone and a striking turquoise cover. Under the editorship of Fred McLafferty, the journal acquired a modern streamlined look, while continuing its tradition of reviewing the most important new scientific results of interest to the chemical community. Two years ago, we launched another redesign, with a new cover format incorporating graphical illustrations provided by authors. With this month’s issue, the new makeover of the journal is now complete. Thanks to the expertise of Amy Meyer Phifer, Accounts of Chemical Research Designer, we have once again been brought up to date with a smart new format executed in the latest typography. With these enhancements, we hope our readers will find the appearance of the journal as pleasing and as “cutting edge” as the research described in its pages.
