Abstract: Direct (unmediated) electrochemistry of the photosynthetic “blue” copper protein plastocyanin may be readily achieved at an edge-oriented pyrolytic graphite electrode over the pH range 4-8. Promotion of rapid charge transfer by Mg2+ ions (
