The complex kinetics of the disproportionation of (azobenzene)-.---Li+ion pairs have been polarographically studied in dimethylformamide solutions. In the absence of metal ions azobenzene free-radical anions (A-.) are stable; the corresponding rate constant for disproportionation A-. + A-. was estimated as kl
