And most of the installation work is already done for you when you buy a complete skid-mounted plant. The cryogenic approach proves economical for feed streams containing as little as 15% hydrogen. Product is delivered at feed temperature and pressure, at any desired purity. Hydrogen recovery can be as high as 98%. The adsorption approach is efficient in removing C5 and heavier hydrocarbons, C0 2 , H 2 S, and water vapor. It is useful for final purification, where extremely high purity (99.999%) is required. And sometimes you need both methods. One LINDE combination plant economically upgrades platformer offgas from 75% to 98% purity hydrogen, yielding up to about 3 million cu. ft. per day.
