Dow Coming organofunctional chemicals... combine organic and inorganic reactivity in one product. 3. Mercaptofunctional silane (Dow Corning® Z-6062) (CH 3 0) 3 Si(CH 2 ) 3 SH

Dow Corning® organofunctional chemicals are hybrid materials with an organic reactive group at one end of the molecule and inorganic silicon functionality at the other. They can be used as tools to introduce organic reactivity into inorganic molecules . . . and vice versa.

4. Vinylfunctional silane (Dow Corning® Z-6075) (CH 3 COO) 3 SiCH=CH 2

They have also been used successfully to improve and maintain the bond strength of resin/mineral composites as well as to upgrade and prolong the performance of sealants, adhesives and various rubbers.

Dow Corning would like to work with you in incorporating these organofunctional chemicals into your particular system. For additional information, write, indicating your specific area of interest. Dow Corning Corporation, Dept. A-2302, Midland, Michigan 48640.
