Advances in Entomology ÇIEVERAL errors, which we now correct, occurred in "Advances in Entomology" by C. H. Richardson, printed in the January 25 NEWS EDITION. On page
78, column 2, paragraph 2, the word "arsenate" should be substituted for "carbonate" in the sentence beginning "Basic copper carbonate proved highly toxic". At the end of the first paragraph on page 79, the name of the Queensland fruitflyis correctly spelled "JStrumeta tryoni", not "Strumata tyroni". The author in literature citation 162 is M. C. Swingle rather than H. S. Swingle. In reference 172 the page number should read 576 instead of 579. -©^©-
Imports of Oxalic Acid into Switzerland Increase IMPORTS of oxalic acid and potassium oxalate into Switzerland in 1939 increased 34 per cent to 345,809 kg. from 1938 imports of 227,069 kg. Of the 1939 imports, Germany and the Netherlands supplied the major portion, the former 175,276 kg. and the latter 151,333. The United States' share amounted to 10,000.
