A Controlled Atmosphere Chamber To Grind Solid Compounds 8
A simple device to grind strongly hygroscopic materials such as potassium hydroxide pellets is shown on the figure. The procedure is quick and simple with materials being inexpensiveand readily available. Three of the five fingers of the rubber glove are cut to attach to the different apertures. In our laboratory this cheap "glove mortar" is also used as a small argon-filled dry box for toxic compounds.
