A Method tor Drawing Cyclohexane Chairs The method begins with two colinear line segments, equal in length, and separated hy a distance equal to the length of the segment (step 1).Next, the left ends of the two segments are connected to a point directly above (or below) the right end of the left segment (step 2). (The vertical distance of this point above (or below) the end of the line segment is approximately three-fourths of the length of the segment.) Finally, the right ends of the two segments are connected in a similar fashion (step 3). Once the ring is constructed, the equatorial and axial bonds are attached with attention to sets of parallel bonds (step 4).
