DURA-VAC
Dialysis separation cells with a capacity up to 50 ml. are available in three types. Model E-50 is for equilibrium procedures and has sampling ports on the top of each section, closed by nylon-threaded plugs. Model F-50 is a flow-cell type with metallic Luerloc ports on one side and a nylon-threaded stopper on the other. The F-50/K is a flow-cell type with Kel-F ports on one side to prevent trace metallic contamination. All models are 5 x 5 X 1 inch with 0.625-inch sections. Automatic Evaporator measures evaporation rates to a fraction of a millionth of a gram per square centimeter of sample surface. The instrument consists of a humidity chamber situated inside a temperature-controlled chamber adjustable from 7 0 ° to 1 5 0 ° F. Solvent sample on a filter paper disk placed inside the humidity chamber on a gravimetric optical weight-sensing device is weighed continuously as it evaporates.
