The Airco Surfynols are unique ditertiary acetylenic glycols which combine surface active and defoaming properties not found in other nonionics. In combination with other surface active agents (whether nonionic, anionic or catonic) Surfynols show syner gism, i.e. exhibit greater activity at a given concentration than either material alone at the same concentration. They have high tem perature stability and their efficiency in wet ting and inhibiting corrosion of metal surfaces is related to the polarity of the triple bond. Alkali resistance is outstanding.
