MEETINGS
ACS 65th Colloid & Surface Science Symposium The 65th Colloid & Surface Science Symposium, sponsored by the ACS Colloid & Surface Chemistry Division and supported by a grant from Henkel Corp., will be held at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, June 17-19. The technical program includes presentation of 226 papers in 11 parallel sessions (each composed of one to six subsessions) covering a wide variety of topics. John F. Scamehorn and Jeffrey H. Harwell are general cochairmen of the symposium. Two plenary lectures and a special lecture by the first Henkel Corp. Research Fellow will be featured. Other special events are scheduled, including a welcoming reception on the evening of June 16 and a symposium banquet on June 18. Norman is served by Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, 17 miles north of Norman. Limousine and taxicab services and rental car agencies provide direct transportation to Norman. Norman may also be reached by auto using U.S. Interstate highways 1-40 and 1-35. Blocks of rooms have been reserved for attendees at Norman area hotels and at University of Oklahoma housing facilities adjacent to the Forum Building of the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education, where the symposium will be held.
