STANFORD UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING The Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, Stanford, California, is seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant or nontenured Associate Professor). Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or related disciplines. We will consider applicants knowledgeable in the general area of chemical engineering science. There are several broad areas of interest, including hydrocarbon chemistry, surface reactivity and catalysis, fuel cells, environmental or atmospheric studies, molecular transport processes and mechanics, soft materials physics and chemistry, computation and simulation, biochemical and biomolecular engineering, and nanomaterials processing. In general, we give higher priority to the overall originality and promise of the candidate’s work rather than to the sub-area of specialization.
