Oxygensensitive procedures can be performed, however, using readily available laboratory apparatus. Suspend an 8-cm diam. clock glass by three pieces of tape to the rim of an inverted, glass funnel of the same diameter. Conned the funnel to a cylinder of argon (density = 1.78 g/L).
