Announcement: New Associate Editor

I

am pleased to announce that Professor Jim Yang Lee of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is joining our editorial team as an Associate Editor, effective immediately. I have known Professor Lee for a long time, and I am quite pleased to have his expertise and help with the growing number of manuscripts that our journal receives. Professor Lee brings a background in chemical engineering and considerable expertise in several areas of current interest for I&EC Research including electrochemistry, materials for batteries and fuel cells, inorganic nanomaterials, and carbon dioxide mitigation technologies. Professor Lee received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and has been on the faculty at NUS since 1987. He also serves as Head of the department, which is one of the largest chemical engineering programs in the world. He is our second Associate Editor in Asia, a region of tremendous growth for our journal. However, he will handle manuscripts based on his areas of expertise rather than just his geographical location. Since our manuscript submission and review process is now handled entirely by electronic communication, being in Singapore will not impede the rate of manuscript processing. We welcome Professor Lee to our editorial team and look forward to his help in handling the ever-growing number of manuscripts that we receive and in maintaining the high standards of I&EC Research.
