EDITORIAL Announcement: New Associate Editor I am pleased to announce that Professor Massimo Morbidelli of the Institut fur Chemie- und Bioingenieurwissenschaften, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, is joining our editorial team as an Associate Editor, effective immediately. Professor Morbidelli brings expertise in a wide variety of areas where this journal publishes papers. He was formerly a member of our Advisory Board. His appointment is significant, in that he will be the first Associate Editor not located within the United States. He will handle manuscripts in those areas most closely related to his expertise, as do our other Associate Editors. It is not our intention for him to be a regional editor for Europe; although, we are quite pleased to have such a tangible presence there as we implement our strategy of being an international journal. Since most manuscripts and reviews are received by electronic submission, being in Europe will not impede the rate of manuscript processing, as would have been the case when this was done primarily by regular mail. We welcome Professor Morbidelli to our editorial team and look forward to his help in handling the growing number of manuscripts that we receive and in maintaining the high standards to which this journal strives.
