Hurd et al. ( 3 )found a t lea3t 6 moles of 1-butene for each niole of 2-butene produced in the pyrolysis of 2-pentene. At least part of the 2-butene found in run 3 probably resulted from the isomerization of I-butene or from secondary reactions. ElTERATUHE CITED
