These efficient centrifuges are ideally suited to the need of the chemical labora tory. Balanced design . . . sturdy construction . . . exact speed control assure dependable, silent operation. Equipped with universal motors for operation on AC or D C current and improved metal shields to accommodate standard 15 ml conical centrifuge tubes or 15 χ 125 mm culture tubes. Heavily rubber cushioned feet absorb vibration and prevent creeping, even on glass surfaces. Heads are of cast brass, chrome plated to resist chemical action. Housings are also acid resistant. 23760

The "Pulsameter" is a n instrument for measuring the differential pulsation amplitude across a n orifice meter. W h e r e orifice meters a r e located n e a r Com pressor stations, pulsations a r e usually present. The magnitude of these pulsations depends on local con d i t i o n s — number a n d kind of compressors, piping l a y out, etc. The "Pulsameter" -can b e connected to the orifice meter g a u g e piping a n d for the condition of measurement the maximum differential pulsation a m plitude a n d recorded differential reading on the orifice meter a r e determined. From this information the accuracy of the orifice meter under the pulsating condition is indicated. This testing equipment is used in connection with gas measurement by orifice meter.
