Bent-Bond Models Using Framework Molecular Models Most organic textbooks portray carbun-carbun double bonds using s p 2 hybridization. Recently a t least two authors have suggested an alternate model of the carbon-carbon douhle bond in an alkene.1" This model, t h e hent-bond model or sometimes called the "hanana b o n d model, can he conveniently represented using the Framework Molecular Models.:'A double bond mav be made in which two of
