Newton manuscripts Cambridge University Press has pub lished "The Mathematical Papers of Isaac Newton," Vol. I, a collected edi tion of all Newton's significant mathe matical manuscripts. It is edited by D. T. Whiteside with M. A. Hoskin. "The Correspondence of Isaac New ton" is being published in seven vol umes, edited by H. W. Turnbull and J. F. Scott. Vols. I, II, and III cover 1661 to 1694. Vol. IV, soon to be published, continues through 1709. The work was commissioned by the Royal Society. Send for prices and descriptive lit erature to Cambridge University Press, 32 East 57th St., New York, N.Y. 10022. Changing Trends in Undergraduate Chemical Education is the subject of a conference held last October at State University of New York at Binghamton. Proceedings have been published in a 57-page illustrated book availa ble from Dr. C. Max Hull, chemistry department chairman at the university, free of charge. Free Bread for Everyman is the title of a book by Peter Harsany published by Academic Publishing Co., P.O. Box 42, Snowdon Sta., Montreal 26, Que., for $4.80. Subtitled "An Essay on World Hunger and Production Re quirements," the book (which is a Canadian Centennial Project essay) offers solutions to the problems of starvation and malnutrition which af flict two thirds of the world's popula tion. Includes sections on world food budget until 2030, and role of the fertilizer industry.
