Molecular weight determination of the common core-molecule, (POSS-M)1-(0/100), by means of GPC yields a number average molecular weight of 4,040 g/mol with PDI of 1.1
(Table
S1
and
Figure
S1a).

to
[(HOCH2CH(OH)CH2)2N(CH2)3SiO1.5)]16 having a T16 core, i.e., (SiO1.5)16. This is in agreement with that reported previously in the literatures. 1 Nonetheless, it should be noted that GPC measurement of (POSS-M)1-(0/100) does depend on –OH group and column interaction, as determined by choice of solvent. 2 Figure S1b shows the 1H-NMR spectrum of (POSS-M)1-(0/100) molecule. Compound was dissolved in (CD3)2SO: 0.30.8 (-Si-CH2-), 1.3-1.7 (-Si-CH2-CH2- in the β-position to the Si atom), 2.2-3.0 (-N-CH2 in the α-position to the N atom), 3.3-4.0 (CH2 and CH in the α-position to the O atom), and 4.2-4.8 (OH).
