The symposium has a definite work­ ing program and the number of partic­ ipants will be limited; priority will be given to those who wish to contribute a short original paper or contribute to the discussion. Persons who are inter­ ested may apply by giving a title and a brief abstract or description of the proposed paper. This should be sent to Dr. Macek before April 30, 1969. Abstracts of proposed papers or ap­ plications to attend the meeting should be sent to Dr. Karl Macek, c/o Istituto di chimica, Piazzale delle Scienze, Roma, Italy.

1969 Eastern Analytical Symposium The 1969 Eastern Analytical Sympo­ sium will be held November 19 to 21 at the Statler Hilton Hotel, New York City. The program will consist of in­ vited papers, an exposition of the latest instruments in analytical chemistry and spectroscopy, a technical film pro­ gram, and an electroanalytical work­ shop.
