• Symposium o n The Glassy State will be sponsored by the Polytechnical Institute of Brooklyn, April 26, at the auditorium of the Brooklyn Law School. A program of four papers is scheduled. • Endeavour, the British quarterly scientific review published by Imperical Chemical Industries, will give prizes for essays on a scientific subject in order to encourage younger scientists to take an interest in the work of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. The prizes will be presented at the meeting of the association to be

seven papers has been arranged, which will be delivered by graduate students of the department of chemistry at Ν orthwestern. • A Symposium on Analytical Micro biology will be staged by the com mittee on analytical microbiology of the Society of American Bacteriologists dur ing the annual meeting of the society at the Shamrock-Hilton Hotel i n Hous ton, Tex., May 3. • Instrument Society of America will hold its 11th annual Instrument-Auto mation Conference and Exhibit in N e w York City Sept. 17 to 2 1 . A program of technical sessions, clinics, and work shops will be featured. • Canadian Agricultural Chemicals Association will hold its 1956 annual meeting and conference at the Hotel Sheraton-Brock, Niagara Falls, Ont., Oct. 16 to 18.
