• Symposium o n The Glassy State will be sponsored by the Polytechnical Institute of Brooklyn, April 26, at the auditorium of the Brooklyn Law School. A program of four papers is scheduled. • Endeavour, the British quarterly scientific review published by Imperical Chemical Industries, will give prizes for essays on a scientific subject in order to encourage younger scientists to take an interest in the work of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. The prizes will be presented at the meeting of the association to be
