CATALYZE 'with
TRIBUTYLPHOSPHINE Tributylphosphine, the phosphine analogous to but more reactive than tributylamine, exhibits catalytic activity in several types of reactions. Its new availability from Carlisle offers the opportunity to increase yields for existing reactions and makes new reactions economically feasible. P o l y m e r i z a t i o n . TBP serves as an anionic polymerization initiator in the reaction of aldehydes, olefins or activated vinyl compounds.
C o n d e n s a t i o n reactions can often be catalyzed by TBP. In some instances, condensations can be induced with TBP that are not catalyzed by corresponding amines. TBP catalysis has been used for isocyanates, activated vinyl compounds, and epoxy esters. E v a l u a t i o n . Try TBP as a catalyst or catalyst improver in your reaction—it's the only way to learn whether or not it can do the job for you. Write for a trial sample.
