Special forming techniques have resulted in a porous disc formed into the crucible wall in such a way as to prevent cracking or dropping out during ignition or use. Made of the same high quality materials as Coors Chemical Porcelain, the disc will not disintegrate when acids (except HF) or moderate alkaline solutions are in contact with the porous medium.
