NEW YORK HILTON—Exposition Hall
With "See Progress in Chemistry" as its theme, Chemical Exposition U.S.A., Inc., 1963 will greet the many thousands of chemists, chemical engineers, and industry representatives who will visit its exhibits. Held concurrently with the 145th National Meeting, the exposition will be open to members and visitors Sept. 10-12. Hours for viewing the exhibits are Tuesday 9 A.M. to 6 P.M., Wednesday 9 A.M. to 9 P.M., and Thursday 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Admission is free. It will be held in the New York Hilton at Rockefeller Center, 53rd and 54th Sts., Avenue of the Americas. The Exposition Hall is one floor above the lobby and reached by two high-speed escalators, providing an easy flow of traffic. More than 150 exhibitors will present a cross-section of chemicals, instrumentation, laboratory equipment, specialties, and services to both industry and the profession. Many new products will be displayed for thefirsttime. The exposition was initiated in 1960 with the Chemical Exposition U.S.A. 1960, held concurrently with the national meeting of the ACS in that year. Fisher Gaffin, of J. T. Baker Chemical Co., is again serving as chairman of the Exposition Committee, as well as Fred J. Hope of H. Kohnstamm & Co. as treasurer. Other members of the committee are Dr. E. J. Durham, New York University, H. Burton Lowe, manager of the Indicator, Dr. George L. McNew, Boyce Thompson Institute, Dr. Pauline Newman, FMC Corp., Dr. Nathan Weiner, Endo Laboratories, Inc., and Dr. Lincoln T. Work, consultant. The exposition is again managed by thefirmof Connolly & Leopold, specialists in the management of technical and scientific expositions. Registrations for the ACS meeting and the exposition will take place in the lobby leading into the exhibits. The Kardex system and other facilities of ACS will also occupy space in the lobby adjoining the exposition, making for the greater convenience of those who will attend the meetings and exposition.
