The Groundwater Research Institute, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Waterloo invites applications for a 10 month position as research associate. The successful candidate will undertake and supervise field and laboratory work in support of ongoing studies of groundwater contaminated by organic compounds. A recent M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Hydrogeotogy and at least two years experience in field sampling and laboratory analysis (GC and GC/MS) of organic contaminants is essential. Familiarity with current field sampling techniques, statistical methods and a demonstrated ability to interpret analytical data using current geochemical and hydrogeological concepts are also required. This position is contingent upon the availability of funds and will commence in the spring of 1984. Salary range is $1,700$2,100 per month.
