Colin F. Poole received his Ph.D. in analyt ical chemistry from the University of Keele (U.K.) in 1975. After postdoctoral ap pointments at the University of Ghent (Bel gium) and the University of Houston, he joined the faculty of Wayne State Univer sity. His research interests include the ap plication of chromatographic techniques to environmental and biomedical problems, sample preparation technology, solvation models for chromatographic processes, and the chemistry of liquid organic salts. Poole received herB.S. degree from the University of Damascus (Syria) and her Ph.D. from Wayne State Univer sity in 1986.
