The full first sentence should be as follows: “Alkaline activations were performed at room temperature by immersing 0.333 g of MCM-41 in 10 cm3 solutions of 0.01−1 M sodium hydroxide (Fisher) or 0.1−0.5 M ammonium hydroxide (Chemlab) for 30 min, followed by immediate dissolution in 400 mL of H2O and a filtering and washing step.”
