e write to reassign the stereochemistry of compounds 18 and 19 (Table 1, entry 8). The error arises from a previously undetected epimerization in the Ohira−Bestmann alkynylation (K2CO3, MeOH, MeC(O)C(N2)P(O)(OMe)2, 65 °C) of acetonide-protected lyxofuranose, giving the diastereomer at the propargylic carbon of the alkynyl diol. The correct stereochemical structures are A and B.
