Correction to Studies on the Formation Mechanism and the Structure of the Anisotropic Collagen Gel Prepared by DialysisInduced Anisotropic Gelation Kazuya Furusawa,* Shoichi Sato, Jyun-ichi Masumoto, Yohei Hanazaki, Yasuyuki Maki, Toshiaki Dobashi, Takao Yamamoto, Akimasa Fukui, and Naoki Sasaki Biomacromolecules 2012, 13, 29−39. DOI: 10.1021/bm200869p 151 mM”; (7) Page 38, Figure 11: We have corrected the Y-axis of Figure 11. The corrected Figure 11 is shown below: In this correction, the calculations of the ionic strengths of the phosphate solutions have been properly performed. The corrections affect the scale of the Y-axis of Figure 11. However, the discussion related to the effects of the ionic strength on the anisotropic gelation of collagen was not influenced by the corrections. Therefore, the corrections do not affect the conclusion of the paper.
In this paper there were calculation errors in the estimation of ionic strengths of phosphate solutions. Therefore, the following corrections are needed in the paper: (1) Page 29, abstract, line 3: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of 151 mM”; (2) Page 30, right column, line 8: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of 151 mM”; (3) Page 30, right column, line 22: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of 151 mM”; (4) Page 31, left column, line 43: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of 150 mM”; (5) Page 33, caption of Figure 5: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of 151 mM”; (6) Page 34, caption of Figure 6: “an ionic strength of 256 mM” should read “an ionic strength of
