For Your Information A study to assess emerging opportunities for firms to become involved in the treatment or disposal of hazardous wastes has been proposed by Battelle's Columbus Laboratories. The year-long study is open for membership on a multiclient basis to a number of companies for $5500 each. For more information contact Gerald L. The National Bureau of Standards and the Joint Committee for Powder Diffraction Standards-International Centre for Diffraction Data (JCPDS-ICDD) have begun a cooperative effort to collect and disseminate evaluated crystallographic diffraction data to the scientific and technical community. JCPDS-ICDD will distribute NBS crystallographic data bases in machine-readable form and as separate publications. Revenue from the data bases will be used to assist the NBS Crystal Data Center in collecting and evaluating data for use in building and maintaining the computer data bases.
