Replacing a portion of the phthalic anhydride with 9 1 1 1 results in greater flexibility . . . improved toughness . . . g o o d adhesion . . . and g o o d color. Amounts of azelaic acid up to 2 0 m o l e per cent of the phthalic anhydride are suggested. *For the technical grade of azelaic acid specify "Plastolein" 9 1 1 0 . With expanded production facilities, Emery's azelaic acids are available n o w in carload quantities for prompt shipment. Likewise, production of the f o l l o w i n g esters of azelaic acid has been increased: " P l a s t o l e i n " 9 0 5 8 , di 2 - e t h y l h e x y l azelate;"Plastolein"9050,di 2-ethyl butyl azelate.
